Congress to contest Babban Rajbhar from Salempur Lok Sabha seat

Congress to contest at least 29 UP seats

The Congress leadership has asked party workers and prospective nominees in at least 29 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, including the nine sitting ones, to go all out on poll preparations without waiting for any decision on seat-sharing with Samajwadi Party.

These 29 seats are those where the party's nominees are almost decided and had started poll preparations well in advance and now are very well set in the local political scene, party sources said.

Besides the nine sitting seats, the other 20 seats where the party and its prospective nominees are seriously into poll preparations already are
Salempur (Babban Rajbhar),Pratapgarh (Ratna Singh), Farrukhabad (Salman Khursheed), Rampur (Noor Banu), Jhansi (Guddu Bundela) Siddhartnagar (Jagdambika Pal), Padrauna (R P N Singh), Muzaffarnagar (Harendra Malik), Bulandshahr (Devi Dayal), Gautambudh Nagar (Arun Kumar Singh Munna), Bareilly (Pravin Aron), Sultanpur (Sanjay Singh), , Mirzapur (Rajeshpati Tripathi), Barabanki (P L Punia), Gonda (Beni Verma), Fatehpur Sekri (Raj Babbar), Phoolpur (Rita Bahuguna Joshi), Chandauli (Shailendra Singh), Faizabad (Nirmal Khatri) and Azamgarh( Santosh Singh).
